Can you use old shower glass doors as kitchen splashbacks?

I wondered if anyone knows if the glass panels from a shower unit are heat-resistant treated in the same way as the glass used for cooker top splash backs? I have taken out 2 showers and have a good idea for a new project to design and paint mountings for the walls in the bathroom and wondered if they could also be safely used in the kitchen. Any advice is welcome, or has anyone done this at home already?

We have strengthened glass panels for our splashbacks. I'd imagine shower doors are the same, if not stronger/thicker grade.

Not much heat transfers to these, so you should be OK
