I have problems with my Candy washing machine. The water will pump out but the drum won't turn and it won't spin. The lights flash 9 times within a 15sec time frame and looking at the error codes that I found on this site it seems to be something to do with the motor triac (whatever that is) or could it be the brushes that need to be replaced? Is the motor triac difficult to replace or should I get someone in to look at it? The machine is nearly two and a half years old and although its not that old I don't really want to spend too much on a repair if this is going to be the first in a long line of repairs its going to need
If anyone could give me any advice I would appreciate it. Thanks

A triac is a small electronic switching device on the pcb. It isn't something you can "change" yourself unless electronics happen to be your thing. Unfortunately you need a new pcb. A motor fault (like badly worn brushes or a shorted armature) can easily blow a motor triac. So the motor needs to be checked out before fitting a new pcb, otherwise the same thing can happen again. Best advice....call Candy service & save yourself the headache.
