Our Candy DQW150 washer dryer is approx 8 years old and works perfectly apart from one small problem. When it runs through the wash program and gets to the final spin, it doesn't spin properly.

It does a bit of a slow spin, but doesn't step up the speed several times or spin for as long as it used to. Consequently, clothes are very wet when we open the door to remove them.

It started as something intermittent, but happens most of the time now. To get around it, I turn the proram dial around to the final spin symbol and switch on again. It will then do a proper final spin.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Does it have a load sensor, overweight or unbalanced loads will be prevented from full speed spin, when it happens try removing some clothes and see if it works. Also any blockage of pump will prevent complete pump out and prevent spin.

Thanks for your reply.

Not sure about a load sensor. How would I know?

Also, how best to ceck pump? Remove back panel and remove hoses to and from pump?

This is something that started happen occasionally a few years ago. So occasional that it wasn't a problem. It happens almost every time now. It seems to pump out OK, there isn't water sitting in the bottom of the drum. Just that clothes are very wet.
