how to I get to the capacitor? Through the front or the bottom?

What is the fault you are having? Assuming you mean the motor capacitor, many dryers you have to take the top and front off and then remove the drum to get to the motor in the bottom. It takes less time to do than it sounds. If you are lucky there may be an access panel but don't bet on it.
