Has it a pipe at the back that you can attach to a waste outlet?
I have a different brand dryer but we use the water pipe at the back. All you do is follow instructions and drop pipe in a waste outlet.
What im thinking is drop that pipe in a bucket and run a test.
Sounds like something is blocked causing it to think that tank is full..
I found the washing machine and tumble drier pipe in the same waste pipe, the washing machine pipe was slowly squeezing the tumble drier pipe until no water could pass, I put a small length of copper pipe up the tumble drier pipe so it could not slowly deform and problem stopped.
