cannon printer problem

i have a cannon mp240 only had it a year only used half dozen times it keep saying paper jam and E coming up in little window but there is nothing jammed,any ideas?

Do you have a cannon solution menu icon on your desk top?
If so go in to that and go in to troubleshooting and paper jam.
It does sound like you have something jammed in the mechanism or paper slot.
