I want to put a canopy over the door shown in the picture, the distance from my wall to the boundary fence is just 1 metre and then another metre to the neighbours house.

The canopy type will be like this picture.

Am I allowed to do this or is there a minimum distance I have to maintain? Thanks.

Don’t know the law TBH, but thousands of home owners roof pover a side passage from side gate to back or house.
For just a canopy, the only thing I would concern myself with is that the extra rainfall needs to be drained onto your land.
The canopy will likely fall towards the neighbours, don’t let it fall onto their land.

PS watch out for the gas outlet if you made the canopy larger
