Can't get Manhattan SX Freesat box to work with sky+ dish

We used to have a Freesat record box ( Freesat own device)that worked via our Sky+ dish with no problem and a very good signal.. Eventually the hard drive went and because we didn't use the record or pause option we have now bought a Manhattan SX non recording box.
I have connected it to the cable from the Sky + dish as with the other one and it searches for signal but says there is none. Can anyone explain please why using exactly the same set up we are receiving no signal.

I have a recording manhattan freesat box which works fine. Can you factory reset your box and start again.

Thanks very much for your response. The problem was that the thin copper "wire" that is in the connection to be screwed together was bent flat and therefore not going into Freesat box socket when screwed in. All sorted now!
