can't seem to find a loft ladder that fixes to the hatch its

I need to replace a very old loft ladder, made in the 1940s. It's a wooden two-section sliding model. Unlike most ladders, it does not fold-up back into the loft space but onto the loft hatch itself. There isn't enough space behind the hatch opening for anything to fold back into so I need to find one that could be attached to the hatch. So far I've struggled to find anything like this. Anyone have any ideas/suppliers?

btw, ideally I'd try and refurb the current ladder but again no one seemed to be interested.
