Cap off for 8mm micro bore

Hello again yet another silly question, can you buy cap offs for 8mm micro bore pipe?

Yes! If it's for water, clean inside, squash flat and solder but don't tell god or you'll be struck down with a bolt of lightning.

8mm solder caps are used frequently in gas work. I often first fix a gas pipe into a catchment area, cap it off and go back when appropriate to fix the fire, so yes 8mm caps are proliferate at plumbers merchants.

I know nothing about gas but how can u purge a pipe system were a branch is capped off ?

You don't need to purge a capped off branch. Any small amount of air left in the branch will slowly mix with the gas in the main run but not to an extent that will significantly affect the combustion properties of the gas.
