capping a chimney

hi i am going to be blocking up my chimney and need to cap off the top. It contains a flu liner. i am not sure if i need to remove the liner before i cap it off.

worried about the condensation on the flue liner?

any sugestions?

View media item 9740 it should be easy enough to remove the liner before fitting one of these on your can.

to remove the liner do i just drag it out from the bottom, or do i need to lossen it a the top before doing this?

it will probably/should be fixed on with a clamping plate at the top....try pulling it from the bottom first though.........you might get lucky.
