I am removing a radiator (permanently) and have traced the pipes back to the nearest tee. The pipes are push fit (tees look like this: http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Plumbing/d20/Pushfit/sd3143/Tee/p47121) ... is the best way to cap this off to unscrew the relevant arm of the tee, remove the pipe and the grab ring, then replace the grab ring with a blank (like this: http://www.toolstation.com/shop/p42848)?

I assume this is what the blanks are intended for but couldn't find the answer to this anywhere.

Thanks in advance.

Not having used those push fit fittings before, chances are they are similar to poly's fittings with the O ring being first on the pipe therefore that blanking cap could just slot into the cap of the fitting. Couldn't say for sure though, easier to replace with an appropriate fitting.
