Need to find out more, heat alarm in flat's kitchen it seems is linked to smoke alarm in flat's living room, but not to anything in the main house. The main concern is if the batteries should go on fire, really should have a linked alarm for them. May be better to have an external box for them?
Have we heard of any cases of the batteries of smoke/heat alarms "going on fire"? If there were any reason for significant concern, what about the many other batteries (a good few of which are Li-ion, or even lithium) present in the average house these days?
Reading between the lines I suspect it is the "House Storage Batteries" Eric is referring to. Which one would hope have sufficient safety cutouts in the BMS to prevent them catching fire in normal use.
Ah, yes, maybe you're right - if, that is, his "house storage batteries" are located in the flat which is separate from his house.
