Carpet and underlay (carpet fitters look in)

Couple of Qs

1.Is important to have good underlay? (to be layed on concrete)
was looking at this (elite)

2. Carpet will be for the living room and dining room, heavy use, we dont weant to spend alot TBH as we will replace in perhaps 3 yrs. Something if gets stained will wipe up is imprtant.

i am not a carpet fitter, but the underlauy choic makes a lot of difference. we hadour landing / hall /stir carpet changed a few years ago, it was very springy becuse of the underlay, if it helps our pne is pink not the usual black stuff
