I'm going to have my carpet fitted later today. I've opted for Tredaire Dreamwalk underlay and Abingdon stain free carpet. Now my question is I've got quite a bit of laminate underlay which was removed from a room upstairs. I've two choices either throw is away or I'm thinking of laying it underneath the carpet underlay. Its the one with aluminium foil and a very thin white foam. Our flooring is all concrete so I'm thinking the aluminium foil would help us lose less heat into the flooring.
Is this something you experts would recommend or avoid at all costs? Thanks

Don't do it! Firstly, you just don't need too, secondly you will struggle badly to get a fixing on the gripper as the carpet will sit far to high. Dreamwalk is as deep and soft and underlays get (11mm) All will be fine.
