carpet cleaning

hi people just moved into a new house with lovely deep cream carpet but the stairs are fairly grubby, what best method and shampoo to use to get looking nice again, is hand scrubbing an option?

Hello I am new to this forum . By the way in regards to your question . Yeah hand scrubbing is viable option but when the carpet is really dirty or hand scrubbing with a good shampoo doesn't cleant it . If budget allows, I would like to suggest hiring a carpet cleaner which is fairly cheap and knows what they are doing.

I have to agree with the person above me . I really would like to suggest that you try hiring a carpet cleaner, the cash you spent is really worth it .
