Carpet to tile door strip help

Hi, currently having our kitchen tiled, we've noticed the new strips connecting the carpet to the tiles seem to be not wide enough? The carpet is barely under the strip

I can't cut the strip in the corners and move it forward as it then won't cover the tile.

I can't seem to find wider strips,or is it a case of trying to push the carpet back up towards the strip?
