Hi there, can people give me advice on the type of carpet underlay that I need when relaying the carpets in my new house?
The reason I need new underlay is that the underlay under the carpet has either disintegrated (I assume that it was carried over from the previous carpet as the current carpet looks new) or there was none to start with.
The carpet is the same throughout the house and is a looped pile one with what looks like a felt backing. I was thinking of getting the Cloud 9 Cirrus ATP underlay which seems to be well thought of but my farther said that some underlays weren't compatible with some types of carpet. Is this true and if so am I ok with my selection or do I need to think again.
The underlay would need to be fitted to bedrooms, hall-stairs-landing and reception rooms.
Many thanks for your advice,
Chris
