Carrying a gun..!

Seen it recently on the news, our American cousins are ccampaigning to be able to openly carry a loaded pistol whilst going about their daily business.... i.e. visiting starbucks, collecting their kids from schools etc.

What do we think?

I find it a bit weird that we consider ourselves a "little America" yet most of us wouldn't know what to do with a firearm !

Are we wrong, should we strive for a similar constitution? or are they wrong?

As far as i can tell, it's about having the right, as opposed to whether it is right... it does feel like a throwback to the wild west, but if it's part of your legal fabric, then it's legally (if not necessarily morally) right !

I was in Springfield, Missouri some years ago (yep, home of the simpsons)
It was work related but we went out every night to the local bars, as you do.............

Fu*k me...We were shocked......

The pick-up trucks used to park up outside with the rifles strapped to the back.........We would be sitting there having a 'pitcher' each, when they would walk in with massive bowie knives strapped to the side of their leg.
Real hillbilly sh*t.

So my point is.......banning carrying weapons wont solve the problem in the US. (well, certainly not some states)
Have an argument somewhere........they will just go out to their car/truck.
