Good evening everyone. :)

Just wondering if anyone had any plans showing how to build a double (or triple glazed) casement window. Also, is this something that can be achieved in a home workshop without specialist/industrial tools? Is it possible to make them as well sealed, etc. as the factory ones?

With the triple glazed systems, does anyone know whether they are good for climates in southern Europe (ie much milder cliamte than UK and northern Europe where they seem to be most commonly used)?

Thanks again for all your help!

I believe the actual window manufacturer is in Europe and they require drawings with the opposite convention as the traditional US style, but I don't know if this is because they follow a different convention for elevations in Europe or if the manufacturer treats the windows as "inside-looking out" for production drawings. I have to agree with Bill that wanting to go back to steel casements would be much like disliking that new-fangled indoor plumbing and wanting to go back to having an out-house. It may be that the style of window they changed to does not compliment the rest of the home or that the exterior needs updating..
