I decided to paint my gutters down pipes etc but when I was stripping the paint off one of the offset/elbow joints I noticed that a piece on the shoulder was slightly proud.

After little encouragement with the scraper this popped off and it looks like someone had tried to stick this in before.

What's the best type of glue or bonding agent for repairing these pipes? I was going to try araldite metal or similar.

TIA.

A small hole could be filled with araldite. A bigger hole could be filled by car body filler.

The hole is about 3 inches wide and I've still got the piece that fell out. I'll attempt sticking it back with araldite.

Cheers.
