Our cast iron gutters are leaking at the joints. Some of the joints I can see the overlap piece is totally missing. Any thoughts/ideas on how to repair this?

Photo is of the same joint seem from above and below.

Best & safest practice would be two workers on a scaffold platform to carefully remove to the ground all the very heavy CI guttering.
Then carefully examine and scrape & chip with a steel to see if any of the gutter can be saved.
It looks like the outside of the gutter has been painted over the years but the inside has been neglected and has rusted through.
Any CI down pipe could be in the same condition, & require taking down and examining.

Hopefully, despite the materials cost, if needed, you will replace with similar profile CI because it looks so good on that traditional stone building.
Follow Mfr's prepping & painting instructions.
If you need to know how to make the joins with paint, putty and gutter bolts then come back here.

A warning fwiw, that the gutter is probably not well secured, & a strong wind might tear the gutter away to drop on any passerby

Good luck with finding a similar profile gutter
