cast iron radiator in red oxide , matt clear coat?

T

ive just stripped and painted an old cast radiator in red oxide , it doesn't look half bad in matt red , a bit industrial perhaps but pretty nice for the kitchen so , if i decide to keep it this colour i will need a clear coat over the top.
can anyone please recommend a product for this? it will need to be wipeable without taking away the roughness of the cast iron.

An oil based polyurethene varnish should do the trick. Hard wearing etc. Dont use yaght varnish indoors.

I'd use an acrylic satin. Doesn't look like plastic when dry.
