I also smoked once (between the ages of 17 and 23). Only did it for 6 years but it was often up to 20 a day! No 'cosmetic' damage but like you only time will tell if there's lasting damage. My great grandmother owned a chip shop and smoked all her life from the age of 14. She lived to her late 80s -- hope we have genes like hers'.
