I am trying to fit a new toilet to a cast iron pipe, I have bought a 3.5" McAlpine fitting that goes inside the pipe - easy ! The problem is just
behind the large cast iron collar that the old toilet is cemented into, there
is a 2.5" what appears to be a vent pipe - also cast iron of course. Both disappear into the wall behind separately. :(

Anyone have a solution, Is there a fitting I do not know about that will take care of it ? Or do I have to cement the new toilet into the old cast
iron pipe, in which case is it just regular cement ?
