Hello

I have a very long cast iron pipe that would push my toilet away from the wall if I connect a new modern toilet. Can I cut the cast iron pipe easily or is there an alternitve i.e remove section??

Thanks

yes you can cut easily with an angle grinder and metal blade fitted.

your pan connector should then fit straight into the cast.

get it right as if its too short you will have to mess about with ugly fittings.

sorry forgot to say ........ be sure it is cast as its unusual for cast iron to come into the bathroom.

Hi Neal

thanks for you reply, I haven't confirmed it's cast iron, the pipe is very hard and is not plastic. Could it be another material?
