At the risk of being shouted at...i will try asking this again, in the hope that someone new see's it.

Has anyone ever come across Copper sink and Bath wastes connected to Cast Iron, via a purpose built "boss" on the cast iron pipe??

I am trying to figure out if this can safely be undone and the copper pipe replace (for perhaps new shiny chrome/nickel.

Any ideas anyone??

regards Matt

aint got a clue wot u r on abahht.

but i would go to a plumbing supplier and ask them.
or try these

thats what i do.

Depends what the boss is, so post a pic.

The boss should be a female thread with an MI x Copper compression coupling, or an O ring joint.

A typical bodge was to stick the pipe into a branch and fill the gap with plumbers mait.
