CATA is the name on the front, label shows CNA Trading Appliances EFM 60SS. From B&Q with a kitchen, 10 years ago.

When cooking, steam emits from above the door and causes condensation on the switch panel. Seal replaced twice, no change, so it looks as if the vapour comes from the cooling vents. Only oven I’ve seen do this. Any ideas as to why?

Many thanks - braniff

Are the hinges ok. Does it grip a piece of paper all around the door between the glass & the seal?

could it have damp or condensation inside? Including soaked into the insulation?

Presumably if you heat it up on day 1, and it steams, and you don't put any more liquid or wet food in it, or spill water when cleaning, it can't steam if you heat it up on day 2.

My (modern) oven has cooling air circulated through the casing with a fan, so if there was any steam, it would blow out mixed with warm air. Other ovens usually have a vent at the front, often concealed in the handle, and even older ones, a vent at the back (which leaves a greasy mark on the wall)
