i want to increases the size of my external door opening from 900 to 1800mm. I have calculated the load of the brick + block and floor above. Does catnic lintel allow for torsion?

If you support the lintel correctly then it should minimise torsion.

Which type of lintel is it? They make alot of different types....

the internal one which is picking up 1.7m span of floor above cn6xb and a cn5xa for the external brickwork.

I am supporting the external wall which has a single garage attached to it. The part im opening up is behind the garage which forms the utility

Basic answer is no.. but you shouldnt get torsion in a standard lintel arrangement and if you do then use a beam designed for the moment.
