When installing cavity drain membrane (the bubble wrap type stuff), should you be able to angle it in to corners nice and tight? E.g in an alcove area.

I'm having it fit and inspected the results earlier. In the corners the membrane rounds off a lot. I can't see how this will get plastered with a nice sharp inner corner/angle. I don't expect a complete 90 degree angle in the corners but you could fit a football in to the curve of these.

See image for example:

Can't be right?

P.s it's the mesh stuff that you dot and dab on to. We don't intend to batten and board.

Errrr, cavity drain membrane requires a cavity. It curves in the cavity.

You should be able to get the membrane "fairly" tight into the corner but there will always be some radius, it can usually be lost in the thickness of the wall plaster though. However, it can be a very challenging surface to plaster onto and plasterers generally hate it so expect it to be be more time consuming (expensive), especially if you want nice crisp corners.
