Hello all,
I have a flat-roofed porch against a rendered cavity wall at the front of my house. Due to leaks/cracks and it's general appearance/condition, I'm getting the render replaced (it's 44 years old, so it's not had a bad innings).
The plasterer has suggested replacing the lead flashing with lead cavity trays, to avoid any future issues (i.e. leaks inside my garage/porch) - should I proceed with this, or is it a "sledgehammer to crack a nut"?
Are there any potential issues I need to be aware of, in removing/refitting a line of bricks (metre at a time) to fit the trays?
Regards,
Richard.
