Ive been looking into having 1950s semi cavity wall insulated but after googling there seems to be some cons as well as pros.

As cavity walls are for a reason ie to prevent damp penitration, filling the space can create damp areas and also cause the wall ties to corrode.

with my luck it would be my ties that corrode and my walls that get damp.

Does anyone know how common it is to have problems after having wall insulation injected

Hi and thanks for the reply

Its ex council brick built with the exterior brickwork coated with some sort of sandtex paint, except the bottom two rows of brick above ground level.
