Hi All,

Have recently discovered some cracks on the ceiling.

I am 95% that these were not there before and only happen recently.

Having redecorated the bedroom and refresh the wall, if I had seen the cracks before, I would have got the ceiling refreshed too.

Question: Should I be concern about these cracks? Who as trade man should I got in to understand if there is concern?

I leave in a converted block of 4 flat and I dread to think that the neighbors jumping in and out of bed would have cause this?

Thanks

attached some pics and i know it will be very difficult to assess on picture but looking for some directions.

Cracks in ceiling are fairly normal, just fill them with flexible filler. If you think about it, as the weight loading on the floor above changes, it can stress the plasterboard joints, so they open up causing a crack. Even walking heavily across the floor above can be enough to open up cracks at the joints.

Just rub some powered filler in and paint. If you try and repair paper edge or use mastic it will look worse.
