ceiling fan mounting

hi all. fitting a new fan and the old fan is screwed direct to the ceiling without any rubber mount or anything. it has never vibrated and is silent while turned on. Now can i mount the new fan the same way without the rubber mount? What is this rubber mount for? I guess to stop vibration? and it is being screwed into a concrete ceiling also.

If it has come with rubber mounts then use them, can't understand why you should not want to.
