Hi, i was just wondering,

from the lighting circuit we have installed a ceiling fan, the wiring is lighting circuit to an inline fuse, then to a speed controller & onto the fan, the fan is in an upstairs bedroom. Can the inline fuse be mounted in the loft or does it have to be accessible "near" the fan? (I'd prefer it to be out of the way)

If the fuse is a means of isolation then it should really be readily accessible somewhere near the fan. If it is simply for circuit protection then it still needs to be accessible for maintenance, but exact location shouldn't matter too much.
