i am looking into fitting a shower to run off my combi and was thinking of getting a mira thermoststic valve with swivel inlets to allow surface mounted pipes but i have just noticed that bristan do a twinwall pipe that contains hot and cold using a smaller pipe within a larger pipe that also acts as the slide rail.anybody got any views on these or should i stick to a normal valve, any opinions would me much appreciated, cheers.

Have fitted loads of mira and 1 bristan of which you mention. Mira are great, bristan ok. Main problem I think is the bristan cools the hot as it comes down the rail resulting in a cooler shower, not to say cold but it goes against all logic.

By the same logic, does the hot not also warm the cold?

ummmm now you got me thinking

yes your right. the hot was too cold and the cold was too hot.
