Hi, newbie here.

I've just returned home to find my living room ceiling light had fallen to the floor. I have re connected the wires as I though they go back but the light does not work.

Below is a picture of how the light is currently wired up.

Can anyone tell me what I have done wrong!

Does the live have to go to one of the three middle terminals labelled loop?

Any help gratefully received

Thank you

Never heard of a ceiling rose falling down, but can't tell anything from the pic. Zoom out so we can see where they go to

Could'nt believe it when I walked in the room either, its been up two years.

Theres 3 blue, 3 brown and a earth cable coming from the light

From the ceiling there is a red, black and earth.

The 3 brown cables from the light go to a positive terminal, next to this is the red cable from the ceiling.

The 3 blue cables from the light go to a negative terminal, next to this is the black cable from the ceiling.

This leaves 3 unused terminal blocks labblled loop

are ytou sure the filaments on the lamps are ok?

there may be a joint in the ceiling on the red /black cable and something may have loosened there

The filaments on the lamps are ok.

I have wired another lamp as above but that does not work aswell.
