Hi all.

I live in a maisonette, and recently we had a few problems in our kitchen which meant some leaking water went through to the downstairs neighbours kitchen. Their ceiling now has some rather nasty yellow stains on it.

I've promised to rectify this, and will be repainting it for them. Will it be enough to simply use two coats of standard white emulsion, or would you recommend anything particular to protect where the water had leaked through?

Thanks!

the stains will come straight through emul, u need to seal the stains with a good stainblock which is expensive so mix enough undercoat with a drop of gloss together and roll the entire ceiling with it. once dry apply a nice coat of emulsion. tried and tested........
