Cellar ventilation

I have just installed an extractor fan into a converted cellar on one wall and have an air brick and doorway on the otherside so will pull through air, hopefully. Would I still be able to run an air purifier in the middle of the room or would this disrupt the cross ventilation across the room by stirring the air in the middle? Or would it have no impact?

Impure air comes in through airbrick, air is purified, pure air is expelled by fan —> neighbourhood benefits from better air!

What are you actually trying to achieve?

No impact - if you are blowing air in then that air has to go out somewhere (if it didn't the pressure would go up and your ears would go pop)

What are you purifying the air of ? (dust, as in a scrubber)

Sorry, should have said It's less about purifying the air and more about keeping the air circulating around the cellar as just a bit concerned that the extractor fan won't be able to disrupt the air enough unless this is nonsense?

This is where the extractor is in the corner with the ducting going outside and then the other side is the air brick and open staircase to the ground floor. I used to run a dehumidifier and air purifier nearly all the time so hopefully this extractor will stop the need for this!
