Our cellar is damp (yes, I know most of them are) with little in the way of natural ventilation. The porch area that leads down to it is also damp with mould growing, so I clearly need to improve the ventilation. The choice seems to be installing a fan in the cellar window with a vent in the porch up the stairs (ie pulling air down the stairs and out of the cellar window) or a fan in the porch and a vent in the window, so the air flows up the stairs. Is there going to me much of a difference, or am I overthinking this.
