My local merchant stocks Marley Eternit Hydropanel, howeer I have not heard this mentioned on here. Is there really any difference between the brands?

Also, they stock it at 9mm thickness, however I was under the impression most wall-based cement boards are 12.5mm. Is the thickness difference significant?

Thanks for any advice

Yes. Of course. Is a Bentley better than a Lada?

Er, nope.

Hardiebacker board is 12mm.
Aquapanel is 12.5mm.
Another-brand-whose-name-I-can't-remember is 10mm.

Is the thickness difference significant?
Only if it affects rigidity.

Personally, I favour Hardiebacker, with Aquapanel as a runner-up.
