Hi guys.

Just managed to finish off installing my wood burner. I have got as far as installing the 5' liner and closure plate. I got myself 800 litres of vermiculite and would like to line the flue/chimney with a mix. Only problem is I am unsure of what mix I should use.

Could I please ask your expertise?

Put in in loose without cement when using a flexible liner. Remember they need replacing from time to time, so would be hard to change when held in with concrete.
When building with clay liners cement mix is used to stabalise the liners.

Thanks Stuart45,

I had originally planned to do that but I read in places and was also told by some people I should mix it with cement as it would be more of a benefit in the long run
