Hi all.

this is my second central heated home, and the second home to have heating barely work.

the whole system is near new and was working for our landlord last winter but we are having problems with it.

The boiler is in the loft, pump turned to three, and at about 1.5 bar (Was at zero until i went up there), and the radiators heat weirdly/not at all.

The boiler is at the very back of the house and below i will give the order of downstairs followed by upstairs radiators (starting from the back of the house going to the front) and there situation with heating.

Mudroom (heats up fast and hot)

Kitchen (heats up fast and hot)

Lounge and dining room (Both are them old chunky "school house" style radiators, Take ages to warm but when they do they are really hot)

downstairs hallway (heats up fast and hot)

Now we go upstairs.

Bathroom towel rail (fast and hot)

1st kids room (not so quick and fairly hot)

2nd kids room (very slowly and not so hot)

Hallway (doesnt really heat up)

Our room/nursery - This is the fun one, the radiator never heats up, sometimes the inlet pipe might get warm but not very often. Lockshield open all the way and trv removed, still no difference and the metal pin the goes under the trv moves freely.

Can someone please help me, most the pipes are plastic ones that look like they clip into each other, the trv's are drayton and all seem to be working.

We are all sick of freezing especially coming into winter with a 3 month old.

Many thanks for any help given.

Initially, check out radiator balancing in the FAQ's......the problem could be as simple as this.
Lockshield valves only need to be opened one turn on most systems.
John :)
