I have a potterton puma 80, The hot water works fine although the central heating takes quite a while to heat up. I have flushed out and removed any dirt from the system. I have been told by a friend that it could be the diverter valve, Does anyone have any other ideas?

It probably is the diverter valve but the real cause may be a dripping hot water tap !!!

You can check that by turning off the cold water in and seeing if that makes any diffference to the heating.

Note it takes about 5-10 minutes for the heating to restart after using hot water!
