Central Heating Cleaner

Hi,

My Potterton profile system boiler is kettling. It starts to hiss when it gets hot and then shuts down. I've had some Sentinel X200 in there for some time which has improved things but not eliminated the problem.

Thinking I need a more aggressive cleaner, I got a box of Fernox DS40. How long should I leave this stuff in for, bearing in mind it's an old system.

be carefull about mixing different brands can cause more harm than good, if you have a cleaner in drain it out then flush and try another if that is what you want to do , dont keep adding different brands
