Hi people, I am going to clean my central heating system as there have been cold spots at the rads. I have bought cleaner and inhibitor from plumb center. I'm on crutches at the moment so can't get access to the attic to the header tank. Can anyone tell me if it will matter if I put the cleanser directly into the radiator as it will be lots easier for me. If not what problems will this cause?

Thanks John

there is no problem putting the cleanser in via a radiator but your FE tank in the loft will have a good chance of having an inch or so of crap in the bottom of it which you may draw into your system when you open up the rad again, best way is to remove the FE tank and clean it out thoroughly before adding your cleanser but to be honest a lot of plumbers would just stick the cleanser in the radiator especially if using the compressed air crap
