Hi,
My mother in-law has a ferroli optimax he 31c boiler. The boiler was serviced a few weeks ago, a few days after that she noticed the rads where getting extremely hot, boiler display said the central heating temp was 90c.
The engineer has been back twice since and replaced two 'separate' thermostats and set the temp for 62. But on each occasion it runs at 90c. The engineer is out of idea's.
Not sure if this in anyway effects this, the boiler is situated in a hot press in the bathroom. A vanity mirror light in the bathroom, which I found out today runs from the same consumer unit fuse as the boiler, (can't see anywhere it spurs of from the boiler) is causing the breaker to trip when the non-electric shower has been on for more than 5 minutes, guessing its as steam issue as the light was connected using an exposed terminal block which dangles nicely behind the mirror. Trip will reset after a few minutes.
Any idea's on the problem with the boiler or a possible work around so the house does feel like the Sahara would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.
