central heating expansion pipe

the expansion pipe on my oil fired central heating runs all the time into the small header tank in the loft the water is very warm ....is this ok ...or is there a problem somewhere

YES YOU COULD HAVE A PROBLEM, YOUR FEED AND EXPANSION TANK MAY NEED RAISING, OR YOUR COLD FEED PIPE MAY BE RESTRICTED IN SOME WAY, WORTH TRYING TO TURN YOUR PUMP SPEED DOWN FIRST TO SEE IF THAT HAS ANY EFFECT
 
Check that the expansion pipe is the correct height measure the distance from the base of the boiler to the water level in the expansion tank.(in meters) and times it by 40 and add 150mm this will be the height at which the expansion pipe should terminate in to the tank.

YOUR SYSTEM LOOKS LIKE IT REQUIRES CLEANING AND THERE ARE BLOCKAGES IN THE THE PIPEWORK AROUND THE COLD FEED AND OPEN VENT AREA.
