I have a Glowworm Compact 100 boiler. The boiler fires up ok, but often (not every time) shuts down after approximately 30 seconds (although the pump continues to run). This happens when either the hot water or central heating zone actuator valves are active.

I had a problem a few years ago which I vaguely remember had similar symptoms, and the hot water value actuator needed replacing. Could it be the same again ?

I'd appreciate any advice on what the problem might be, particularly if it is an valve actuator

Try moving the lever on the top of valve to manual open & see if that improves things.

bleed rads it could be lot air system but this not likely to work though but try this before you buy anything

Boiler shutting down after 30 seconds usually means the flow has reached the set temperature.

If that happens so soon it usually means the is little or no flow.

You should feel the flow and return pipes to judge the temperature.
