Hi all,
There is a loop of 22mm (or possibly 1') pipe with a drain cock on it in my bathroom which is part of my CH system (see photos). Is this loop required as it is the highest point of the CH system, or would I be able to shorten it down to nearer the floor?

I was hoping it was only necessary as part of the old back boiler systems and that it is not required with a combi. If it is needed then I would have to box it off which would give less storage space where I intend to build some fitted shelving.

Please help!
